London, Dec 9 (IANS) British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, accused of procuring young girls for billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and even participating in the abuse, is getting ready for a "tell-all" TV interview to defend their pal Prince Andrew, a media report said.

The socialite is alleged to be in talks with a major US network for the interview, The Sun reported.

A photograph of disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, Epstein and Maxwell at Princess Beatrice's 18th birthday bash at Windsor Castle was published by The Sun on Sunday.

Maxwell has maintained she wants to defend the duke, 59, after his own car crash TV interview. The report quoted a source: "Ghislaine is in hiding and knows the only way to stop being hunted is to speak on her own terms."

"She will do a sit-down interview with a big US network and defend the duke. Apparently, she'll say Virginia Giuffre is lying and Andrew never had sex with her".

The 57-year-old daughter of disgraced tycoon Robert Maxwell is accused of procuring young girls for Epstein and even taking part in the abuse.

Maxwell has not been seen since Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in August.

The Sun is offering a 10,000 pounds reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Maxwell, who has not been seen in public since June.
