14. Never deprive someone of hope, it might be all they have.
15. Give yourself an hour to cool off before responding to someone who has provoked you, if it involves something really important, give yourself overnight.
16. When playing games with children, let the win.
17. Skip one meal a week and give what you would have spent to some charity.
18. Be tough minded but tender hearted.
19. Never criticize the person who signs your paycheck. If you are unhappy with your job, find another one.
20. Avoid negative people.
21. Don't waste time responding to your critics.
22. Never take action when you're angry.
23. Be kinder than necessary.
24. Give people a second chance, but not a third.
25. When you're proud of your children, let them know.
26. Be your wife's best friend.
27. Do battle against prejudice and discrimination wherever you find it.
28. Let people know what you stand for and what you won't stand for.
29. Don't forget, a person's greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.
30. Pray not for things but for wisdom and courage.
